OUR PROGRAMMES

Junior Secondary School (JSS 1-3)

This is the upper basic programme designed to prepare students for the senior secondary students, at the end of the junior secondary school students obtain the junior school certificate of the Benue Certificate Examination (BECE). The junior secondary school is a 3-years programme subjects studied at this level include:

Agricultural Science Business studies
Christian Religious Studies Civic Education
Computer Studies Fine Arts
English Language French
Home Economics Basic Science
Basic Technology Literature
Mathematics Physical and Health Education
Social Studies Writing

Senior Secondary School (SSS 1-3)

This is the senior secondary programme to prepare students for tertiary education through the senior secondary certificate examination of the WAEC/or NECO in science , Business studies and humanities. Subjects studied at the senior secondary school in Graceland include

Mathematics English Language
Civic Education Entrepreneurship
Computer studies/ICT (Core of all students) Physics
Geography Chemistry
Biology (for science students) C.R.S.
Literature in English Government
Insurance (Business Studies) Commerce
Creative writing is a compulsory elective for all senior student of the school

Promotion Requirements

For any student to be promoted to the next class, the following conditions must be met.

  • Should have overall score of 50 and above
  • Should not be involved in examination malpractice or other disciplinary cases
  • Junior students should pass Maths, English Language, Agricultural science, social studies, creative writing, civic education and Christian religious studies introductory Technology, integrated science at least 50%
  • Senior science students should pass Mathematics, English Language, civic education, ICT, Entrepreneurship, Chemistry, Biology and Physics with at least 50%
  • Senior Humanities students should pass Mathematics, English Language, Civic Education, ICT, Entrepreneurship, Government, C.R.S, and Literature with at least 50%

Please, note that any student who falls short of the above conditions will be forced to attend summer school where he/she must pass the necessary subjects to be promoted.
